Accounts are optional. They back up your progress to the cloud and let you switch between friends' profiles on this computer instantly, without a password.
Is this safe?
Your password is sent straight to Supabase, our authentication provider, over an encrypted connection and stored there as a one-way hash. TACHYBOARD never sees or stores your raw password. The only account data we keep is your username, email, typing settings, and practice history.
